Supposedly Inell Young wrote "What do you see in her" as a response to famed NOLA producer Eddie Bo. He continued to record with Mary Jane Hooper but refused to work with Young until she became clean from heroin. Young supposedly died soon after recording this song, although it's not clear if it was accidental or on purpose.
Musically, the song is seriously funky while melancholic at the same time. I spruced up the beats and added some tongue in cheek cuts.
